I've got the reverse situation - uncs shipped on the 31st, proofs (and roll set) are "in stock and reserved." (I also ordered on the 13th.)

  • For us the proof is "in stock and reserved" and the unc is "backordered. Expected to ship on 04/03/2009!" image

Edited to add I ordered on 3/15.

Finally the cancel box disappeared today on my proof order and my credit card was hit with a pending charge. What a bunch of dumb bunnies running the show in Indiana now, idiots.image

Mine is a little different too... Ordered 1 Pr, 1 Unc 2/12, received both about 2 weeks later, and returned the Proof cause it had black spots and a nick near the rim. They were going so fast, I decided to order another pair. As of today, still haven't received the replacement Proof coin, not have I gotten the 2nd pair I ordered, though Mint says they've been shipped 4/3...

Got the "replacement" yesterday for the PR I returned af ew weeks back... appears this time they sent me a perfect coin.

As a novice - or at least a beginner - I have some difficulty determining of something I spot on the coin is actually a speck of dust, a hair, or some other unknown little beastie floating around on the capsule. Most times I can tell, wipe it off, whatever, but if it's a foreign object (like dust, or a hair), must I remove the coin fromt he capsule to check for sure?

Yes ... use compressed air to get rid of it.

    no need to remove it.

open the capsule right side up and then open it upside down.

keep it on the half shell.

I use the utility knife -> -> very carefully

Only a week, that is nothing. I have been waiting so long for these and several other orders. Did they shut the Mint down for a few months? Is any home? Am I wrong? image

These are also plaqued by milk spots like the ASE Proofs.

I must be one of the lucky ones because I've never had a silver commem. that had milk spots. ASE's many, but commems. None.

I have never had any milk spots on anything! Must be the dry climate I live in.
