I'm not very Ebay or Paypal scam street smart so I'm asking.....
I get this message on Ebay and my email from 'roselynn2' that makes me an offer for a coin I won on Ebay about 4 weeks ago, and they make me a nice offer for the coin and I respond and accept their offer. Within like 2 minutes I get an email from Paypal saying I have a pending payment and I logon and accept the payment and transfer it over to my checking acct.
This 'roselynn2' had 99.4% feedback and no negs within the past year and an Ebay member for 9 yrs.
My question is....... if I wait til the money hits my checking acct before shipping the coin, there's nothing that can go wrong, is there?

did you do this outside of ebay or was a "make offer" ebay transaction?

one can still do a chargeback though on their credit card i imagine
but once the money is in your checking account paypal cannot yank it.
just wait a few days, secure the money, do nothing else with your
paypal account for a while if you can, and ship the coin.
then see how the buyer responds and continue on with life.
<< <i> I am a little curious how they tracked you down to make the offer. >>
Probably by the feedback that was left.
The thought of mail fraud makes some scammers stay honest.
If the money is there, great, I see no problem. Out of curiosity, what's the value of the coin?

<< <i>Did you click on a link provided within the email supposedly from PayPal? If so, and if it is a scam, you may have just given away all your information. >>
Asked me what one I thought looked better I gave my opinion.
Asked if he could pay 200 and I send 2 coins for him to pick from 1 from and send the other back.
I said ok, but I'd need an extra 20.00 if you pick coin "A" over coin "B"
He picked coin "A" and I still have not received the $20.00 but did get the other coin back within a couple days.
He answered an email and said he needed a bit of time for the other 20.00
I sent a request for cash via paypal a week or so ago.
The deal may go smooth with you I think.
Hopefully he has 20 bucks left after your payment clears

Lets some others look at it, may be a lot better coin than you think.
If it is a RARE one you could be letting it go to cheaply.
