edit: 2 phillies coaches SPs? wtf? I'm starting to notice that the collation is poor. Last two boxes had multiple dupes, including 3 Adrian Gonzalez (Pads).

I've noticed a lot of boxes both hobby and retail without a relic/ink. Do you just rip the UPC code and mail that with wrappers from the box to Topps to see if they'll send you one?

Tim, there isn't any guarantee of a relic or SP in the retail boxes. Too bad - I'd have a lot of UPCs and wrappers to send back otherwise.

I'm done with the rip. I'm discouraged to say the least. I averaged 8.5 SPs per box. After pulling 6 of the 7 Joe needed for his set, I had 116 left over, of which only 59 were unique. 57 dupes leaves lots of trade bait, but I expected better collation than that. I pulled 4 Phillies coaches; I'm almost certain I only pulled 2 base Joe Torre cards. Sheesh. 30 or so unique chrome left with heavier than expected dupeage - I had triples of 2 different players. Yuck.

Insert sets are done with the exception of 1 T&N. I pulled a LOT of NAPs.

I did pull another black refractor - James Loney, so that was cool. Only the one ink - hope you need it, Kevin.

I'll have a trade list up later tonight.

The intervention crew failed to show up again today, so after visiting 1 Target, 3 Kmarts, and 7 Walmarts I have 13 Jumbo Packs and 13 Blasters to open. Will it be lucky or unlucky #13 for me? Rip will start as soon as I get back from the post office.

Whew! Finally ready for a trade list. I swung my first trade of the season with Joe after I got off work. I dropped off the 7 of 8 cards he needed to finish up; he handed me 7 that I needed. I also picked up 21 chromes and 6 relics, so big dents were made in all lists. Thanks, Joe!
