Very cool. I've only ever come across two ase errors, both were strike throughs, and neither were as dramatic as that.

Hard to tell from the picture... is that a gradual falloff as though from grease or a sharp drop as if from some harder material?

There's a substantial sub group of error collectors that chase these. In an NGC holder, that's a $200 coin.

No. I've only handled SAE strike-thru's in NGC holders, so that's my frame of reference.
