Upgrade potential? Crescent Morgan

One of the few crescnets ive ever liked. Guess the grade, see if you think its higher than what currently holds it:

I say 64 by the pics, 65 is not out of the question, but would need to see it in hand

in the picture, quite a few of the hit marks on the cheek are hidden in the shadow,

could be as low as an ms63,

    most likely ms64,

    I doubt ms65.

    Gorgeous coin though!!

    It has a good shot a 65. Never a 66.

    Looks like a garden-variety MS64 to me.

    Depending on how heavy the chatter on the cheek is, it's a 64 or a 63. It's likely a 64, but not a 65.

    I'll say it's in a 63 holder and should be a 64.
    Nice looking crescent toner.

Its in an ngc fattie 64 right now. Im hoping for a 65. The shadows in the pics actually make the cheek look worse than it does in hand in any light ive looked at it in. Its very mild cheek action in hand.

I was gonna guess 64 also, but I'd leave it in the fattie.
MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

The hits in the fields will keep it from grading 65. I have sent a few into PCGS that looked the same way, also in fattie holders and they did not cross.

The blue crescent toning is very nice.

    Sweet looking Morgan image

That is a beautiful coin! 65 is a real long shot, IMO.

Even though I voted MS65, I would leave it in the old holder. Even if you get 65 in a new holder, the resale price won't net you much more money, after deducting fees and postage. Having it in the old holder shows that the coin is likely stable (unless it was a ManofCoins gas job, which is unlikely for a crescent) and the toning is old (or at least older than many NGC toners).
