Thanks for the report Manorcourtman.
The way the mint spews them out they probably made the entire 2009 production in a few days in January.
(Like so many washers---I take that back, I've seen nicer washers!)
Surprised you even made a MS67.

This was also the case for the business strikes in 2007 and 2008

I've stopped looking... it just isn't worth it.
Sorry about your luck...

Thanks to Mr Eureka, I learned to grade some things myself.
God bless the inventor of the 2x2 flip and flat stapler.

<< <i>"Don't waste your time." Hmmmm So, because of your 'success' or lack thereof, it is automatically assumed that no one will do better??? Incredible...... Cheers, RickO >>
Hey Genius, if you are looking for high grade material your chances are slim to none....that's my point, Incredible........ edited to add a wink
<< <i>I've said this before and I'll say it again... as long as the mint only makes satin finish coins and not any true business strikes for the mint sets, forget about making very many true business strike top pops.

I may order anothyer bag a week or so before the uncirculated sets come out and that way, if I happen across a nice high grade Kennedy, I won't have to get into a "but this isn;t a satin finish coin" match with PCGS.
The satin finish sets play major havoc with those that do search for high grade business strikes ragardless of denomination.

This is a really good point. I've heard horror stories where business strikes come back mistakenly labelled as Satin Finish.
Yes, that happened to me several times with 1965, 1966 and 1967 Kennedys that I found in bank-wrapped rolls.
Very frustrating and costly.
<< <i>the topic of this thread highlights all that is bad about the TPG idea and all the various off-shoots of that idea. >>
I'm not sure I see your point.
Everyone can't spend great amounts of time and effort keeoing
each of his collections up to date so they prefer to simply buy a
coin. It's really always been this way. If a collector in Maine want-
ed a '16-D dime he had little choice but to pay a premium for it.
The big change is that in 1916 there wasn't that much difference
between one dime and another so people didn't care as much.
Now the difference is huge and they do care.
