just received my UHR, ordered date 1/24/09.
not bragging.
Came without a book in a heavy white box.
Any suggestions on how to take advantage of receiving it early? I have not opened the box.

That really sucks!
I ordered 1/22 an hour after the available order time.

I collect all 20th century series except gold including those series that ended there.
<< <i>Ditto... As I understand it, many of these will not be shipped in time. But I thought you had to leave the coin int he box you rceived it in... though I have been away for awhile, I could be wrong
Good luck with the flip,

It only has to be in the box AFTER the first strike cutoff date has passed. If sent in now (by March 11th I think), it can be opened and looked at first.
<< <i>LMFAO. So anyone(me included) who had to deal with a f ing slow Website for the first hour and countless boots from the server get screwed. Im not expecting receiving mine until April. >>

I'm happy for you that you're so independently wealthy that you can afford to be cavalier about how you spend $1200, and when (or whether) you ever receive the merchandise for which it was spent.
Not many of us are so fortunate.

Congrats! I ordered mine 1/22 at 12:36 (30829XXX) with no delivery yet!!! I just don't get how all of these orders which were placed later are shipping before those placed in the first hour.

Good news for you then....until you get it, you haven't spent $1200.
Once you are charged, you should get it any day then. Until then, you just have a potential $1200 charge sitting over your head.
now, if you just wanted to flip it, then I can understand the anxiety, but not over the $1200.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

If you thought that the old reps were clueless, these reps know absolutely NOTHING about the products, nothing!!
I inquired as to why they are NOT shipping the UHRs on a first ordered, first shipped basis. She informed me that none had been shipped yet - good lord. No clue.

GAB,
It looks like you got the "Reverse Proof" edition (obverse only).
It really looks perfect on both sides, but it will stay
in it's "native" environment as long as I own it.
A pretty incredible coin, I must say, compared to
some of the other stuff the mint has come up with lately.
<< <i>AWWW MAN, not another. I ordered early so I could be the one rubbing it in. DAMMIT. I can just picture a HUGE pile of boxes, with the early orders at the bottom, and now they have to work thier way through the pile as they were stacked up, mine is way at the bottom I just know it. I already paid for charge, so I have a $1200 credit sitting on the card waiting. DAMMIT >>
That is a great mental picture. Now we know what the real problem is. Pitney Bowes has no forklift.
