Horrible Weekend... Cheer me up Please!

I've been sick all weekend and wake up to find my dorm hall full of cops, not a good way to wake up. Turns out this morning one of the students across the hall from me took his own life. As a college kid you feel so invincible and carefree so when something like this happens it kinda shakes you up. So now i'm sitting here trying to do homework and it's not working with all that's going on around me and i'm not exactly in the grandest mood, so post a nice coin to cheer me up please! I'll start:

Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!

It breaks my heart to hear that.
Hope you feel better buddy.
as bad as things are, or can get ... whether we are young or old, I think we all have so much to live for ...
like an original coin ... or a walk in the Yosemite Valley
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”

<< <i>Sorry you've been sick and definately hate to hear about your classmate. Here's a seated liberty for you--even if it isn't a dollar.
Jim, had it been anything but a half i would have been totally freaked out!

I think times are a little tought for many people right now. My wife has been out of work for a few months and our savings are drying up. I think she will find work soon, so I try not to worry too much. Both of my sons are seniors in high school and constantly get into trouble in one form or another. So, I can relate to your depressed feeling. Just try to keep in mind that things will get better. Life is too short to worry about things we can't change, so enjoy it when you can and try not to let life's hard knocks get you down too much.
Take care bro.
Here is a one of my newest newps...
Enjoy!

Actually, Mark, I have coins that aren't halves--just no dollars. (I may be the only U.S. collector around who doesn't own at least a Morgan!)

Mark, I hope this loss will somehow help other students realize how Precious every day is & it's effect on others who Love them....
no coin can ever express the sorrow.
BTW - I'm sorry to hear that your situation is a lot worse.

<< <i>That really sucks, where do you go to school speety? >>
University of Cincinnati -- so if anyone has plans for the Central States show i'm in!
And stone, if we had cops everytime someone was caught playing beerpong they might as well just keep one here all weekend every weekend.
<< <i>Truly tragic. What is equally tragic is tha a pic of a coin would cheer you up. >>
It'll take much more than that... but every bit helps of course! BTW, thanks for the pic...
Here's another CBH for you. I hope you feel better soon!

<< <i>You are welcome. I dont mean to be insensitive as I have plenty of experience with this topic. People that take their own lives do it to make the living suffer. Never again for me. Your friends pain is over; thier families and friends is just starting. >>
Normally i wouldn't take it badly, just with all that's happened this weekend it's been pretty bad. One of my friends just down the hall almost commited suicide a few years ago so i got to spend all day trying to comfort them.... it hasn't been a good day but i still shouldn't have snapped back at you, sorry.
Skyman, WOW!!!!!!!

Seriously? This dear young man is just reaching out and keeping it coin related. I think you need to take a psych. 101 course to understand. Read between the lines and you will understand that he needs our support and as you can see there are many members whom support him, I am one of them.
I have a joke for you though:
Two men were walking through the woods and came upon a big black, deep hole. One man picked up a rock and tossed it into the hole and stood listening for the rock to hit bottom. There was no sound.
He turned to the other guy and said "that must be a deep hole...let's throw a bigger rock in there and listen for it to hit bottom." The men found a bigger rock and both picked it up and lugged it to the hole and dropped it in.
They listened for some time and never heard a sound. Again, they agreed that this must be one deep hole and maybe they should throw something even bigger into it.
One man spotted a rail-road tie nearby. They picked up the tie, grunting and groaning, and lugged it to the hole. They tossed it in. No sound. All of a sudden, a goat came flying out of the woods, running like the wind, and flew past the men and jumped straight into the hole. The men were amazed.
About that time, an old hayseed farmer came out of the woods and asked the men if they had seen a goat. One man told the farmer of the incredible incident they had just witnessed...they had just seen this goat fly out of the woods and run and leap into the big hole. The man asked the farmer if this could have been his goat.
The old farmer said "naw, that can't be my goat...he was chained to a railroad tie."
OK, I didn't say it was a good joke.
last time I felt good I was here....Negril........
<< <i>Your coin cheers me up...it's nice. I don't have a coin for you, just my sympathy...it isn't easy to have someone you know die, especially through suicide. I trust that you'll pull through. My sincerest apologies and I hope you can get your head back in the game as soon as possible.

I'm about an hour from VA Tech, I know some people that were there when the shooting took place almost 2 years ago. Luckily none of my friends were hurt.
