  • No matter what excuse that will be provided for the seller, the seller's scan clearly shows the bottom of the holder has cloudy areas/problems with the holder. His scan just makes it less obvious than the accurate scan that blackie provided. The holder was that way when it left the seller's hands(that is not the postal service's fault), and since he is a member here, I don't know how he couldn't have seen the issue with the holder, because we have discussed compromised/tampered holders on this board for as long as I have been here..

EDIT: To add; I am not saying the seller tampered with it, or that it was cracked, but am saying that the holder was screwed up when he sold it. Look closer at his scan for the cloudy bottom on the holder, except for 2 small clear spots.

Instead of being a jerk off, why don't you truly look closer to see what I am saying. The holder left his hand's looking like it does. Clearly..

I swear this place is so ignorant anymore. Some can speak their opinion, and no one pops off at them, while others get blasted. If it gets to the point that a person can't speak what they believe, within a civil/reasonable manner, without being flamed, then what it the point of this place even existing? Seriously..

    Scott,

I'll quote this, and put it in BOLD BLACK, so you don't try and distort exactly what I said.

I DID NOT accuse snorto of fraud, but in bold black IS what I DID say.

What Tim is referring to as "cloudy areas/problems" and "2 small clear spots" is the NORMAL texture of the holder (a textured design) and the two clear channels. It is NOT the typical frosting that displays when a holder has been compromised. I'm sure he'll disagree, but anyone with a PSA graded card handy should look and they will see. The holder Blackie received and the one in the scan are not in the same condition and nothing was done to hide the damage in the original auction scan. The original scan DID NOT have the damage that Blackie's did when he received it.

Anyone with an ounce of sense and willingness to look at this objectively can see that. I'm sure that Tim will disagree, because he is NEVER wrong. He knows all!

Watch the language. Aren't you the same one that complained about someone else's choice of words?

You don't offer your opinon. You state EVERYTHING as if it is FACT and then argue with everyone that disagrees with you. SERIOUSLY!

And by the way, I did look at what you said. You editted it after the fact... Regardless of your new disclaimer, you state that Snorto KNEW the holder was bad and sent it that way. That's an indictment in my book...

If I liked the card, I would have PSA put it in a new slab.
I am sure the seller would pick up the tab.

Fine! I stand by that. Yes, in my opinion, the holder is cloudy and was sent that way. I edited to add comments, to be very clear with how I felt. I will stand by that, and we all know PSA holders have those areas, but this holder is more cloudy that the norm, even in the seller's scan. It just does not show as well, due to the background he used to scan the card on.

I do the same thing you do on here. I give MY OPINION, and if you don't like it, then it appears that we will continue to butt heads, because I am not going to hold back what I honestly feel just to please you.

Storm I would do that but I have not paid the 99 dollar fee to join again. I couldn't see paying it when i could just buy PSA graded cards from good sellers. I don't dislike the card, I dislike the condition it came in. It wasn't a package error as I stated before but it was tampered with. Maybe not by the seller I don't know but if it was sold like this then its wrong..............

The card is obviously real, obviously untrimmed, looks fairly accurately graded. Not sure why what the holder looks like is an issue.

    Blackie:

Keep in mind that while the packaging may have been secure, there is the chance that something happened during shipping. A heavy item may have fallen on it or it may have been dropped. Scott is on the West Coast, so he may not even be home, yet. I'm sure he'll make this right by you, regardless of all of the other's accusations.

If he doesn't, I'll take care of getting the card reholdered for you and I'll eat the extra expenses. Is that a fair enough resolution?

Blackie, I'm very sorry you are going through this ordeal and I think it's good you are letting him respond. Let's hope the seller takes care of you and looks at the big picture.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Had you not personally attacked my reply, I would have NEVER said one word to you. You can't come personally attack/flame me, and expect me not say anything back to you. How about just learning that if you don't like my reply, to simply move on? It does not warrant a personal attack on me or my intelligence/expertise, just because I say state an opinion that you don't like. You are not anything anymore special than I, so stop acting like you are so much more above me. It's pathetic.

  • << <i>I am trying to find out the problem...isnt that grade accurate for this card? >>

The card appears accurately graded to me. I imagine it is quite possible the case got dinged on shipping. I also think making this thread was perhaps a little premature or over do. Seller appears solid.

Here's a side by side... Note the bottom of the holders. Granted one is against a light background and the other a dark, but the characteristics are the same...

Agreed, but the OP has stated more than once now that he does not see it that way, but rather that it has been tampered with (not necessarily by the seller).

    Tim:

I'll make this simple. I don't like you!!! I may be a pompous azz, but I state my opinion as an OPINION. In the event that I'm wrong, I'll admit it, but I don't oft times butt in on things that I don't know about.

So, given that I am a pompous azz, I will state that you are a thin-skinned whiner who prefers to hide behind fouled beliefs and expects everyone to agree with what you say because YOU said it. Sorry, I don't buy it and I don't buy your pathetic "everyone piles on me" gripes. I make a figurative speech statement and you make it out as a physical threat. I don't make threats. I act.

I realize that we will probably never agree. I accept that. I don't care about you or what you have to say, but when you slander others on little more than an ill-informed opinion, I will stand up and call you out!

Feel free to respond. I've said my piece and I'm done with you until you step on someone else's toes.

    1. So you don't like me and that gives you the right to troll for a fight when I give my opinions that you don't like?

    2. What person's toes did I step on that give you the right to play police here?

    3. What did I say that was so wrong? The OP agrees with what I said. You buddies with the seller or something?

    4. You seem to be the one with the personal problem with me, not the other way around. Maybe you need to learn that you can't come in and personally bash the intelligence of someone you don't like, just for their OPINIONS. And yes, that IS ALL I DONE on this matter. JUST LIKE YOU DID.

    5. If you want to act on your threats, Scott, I told you how we can resolve that, too. Anytime you are ready.

Figured I'd play with the original auction scan and adjust to make the holder a little more visible against the light background with the intention of seeing if I was wrong. Anyway, I've used the black circles to show the typical areas that show distress when the holder is compromised and they appear to be intact. I used red to highlight areas that exhibit flaws (they do not appear to be stress/compromise related). I used green to highlight the areas that would be frosted if the holder had been compromised.

    image

Based upon this, I will stand by my earlier statement that the image in the scan is NOT the same condition holder as the one received. What happened to it from the time of the scan to the time Blackie received it is still uncertain at this time...
