A PayPal resolution question

I purchased some coin supplies from AirTites, $32.45 worth, just before Christmas. Well, I never received them. So, on Jan 22 I emailed them about the order and asked when they would ship it. Their response was that they shipped it and gave me a USPS number. All that number does is say it was delivered on Dec 27. That's it, it doesn't say where they delivered it or if I actually received it.

So, AirTites won't do anything, and I opened a case on PayPal. After a few messages from the seller I realized the seller wasn't going to help so I changed the case to a dispute and waited for PayPal. Well, PayPal closed the case, in the seller's favor, because the seller gave them the USPS shipping number.

Am I screwed or is there something else I can do?

You could file a chargeback, but even if the package was insured, I'm not sure the money could be recovered with the delivery scan. Is it possible it's near your mailbox on the ground somewhere? Maybe under snow?

You can appeal the case with PayPal, but you probably will still lose. Looking at it from the seller's point of view, their position is understandable. The item shows delivered, and they have no way of knowing that you're not a scammer.

They were delivered somewhere. Check your mailing address on your ebay and paypal accounts. Seller will just have neg removed, he can prove delivery. Mistake is more than likely not seller's fault. Buy your airtites at this link. you can mix sizes and buy only what you need:

It was obviously delivered ... take the Delivery Confirmation No. to your P.O. and see if you can get some help from them. You may have to contact your Postal Inspector.

You would "whistle a different tune" if it was your coin and the Delivery Confirmation indicates delivered.

Aside from the fact that the OP didn't say this was eBay, a neg for this would not qualify for removal.

Thanks y'all for the advice and the link. I certainly understand the sellers point of view.

It's not Ebay so I can't neg them. I live in Gainesville, GA so there is no snow. I wish there was though. I live in a condo and we have a mailbox for large parcels. The keys are still in both of them so it doesn't look like the Postal dude left the key in the wrong mailbox.
