  • jswieton- I see this as shady. You are the reason I hate to divulge info on certain areas of this hobby. I now regret what I have told you and happy that I did limit myself, thinking something like this could come about.

Counterfeit card you pulled from pack (Aikman) later said maybe someone put in pack then went to cards were stolen and roomate might have switched them.

Now this "pack pull" was a "joke". What's the punchline? Jokes are funny. How is a counterfeit, said to be pack pulled funny?

Then asking info on unopened packs for your supposed book. One of the easiest scams.

Your stories could all be true and you just coincidentaly encounter counterfeit items, money, cards and the touchy subject of asking about resealed packs but I know I for one wont give you any future advice.

I know if I was going to buy a fake to flip as a rare variation I'd try for a sell on a board (no recourse, if no C.C. used ) and if outed, I'd tell all to try and keep me afloat.

You could be telling the truth. For future reference.... never start a thread ASKING FOR HELP with a lie.

    Happy Hunting.

edited to add- Elemenopeo, lol fitting.

I just pulled this Ryan card from a sealed 89 Upper Deck factory set. Anybody know anything about it?

That card was originally inserted in '88 Fleer BKB, but they had a bunch left over and Upper Deck bought them up as a promotional sample for the X-Mas season of 1989. I had heard that a few had made it into factory sets, but never had any actual proof until now.

    Nice score!

The meaning is the same as Lee's post. The "card" itself was made infamous on this board by a banner previous poster.
