Paypal shipping WAS convenient
I have recently taken the plunge into printing shipping labels through PayPal.
I have found this to be quite convenient on several levels.
However, I received a shipment of the new USPS "Small Flat Rate Priority" boxes the other day
and I noticed immediately that I cannot print labels for these boxes through PayPal.
Basically, the only flat rate options PP gives you are Flat Rate Envelope and Flat Rate Box, period.
I emailed PP Customer Service asking when the small flat rate box will be added as a shipping option.
The response...
Thanks for contacting PayPal. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you
with your questions.
Thanks for writing to us. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you
with your question regarding the new USPS Flat Rate Priority Shipping
box.
Matthew, currently, the USPS Large Flat Rate Box that sells for $12.95
is not available when using PayPal Shipping. If you print a label for a
regular Flat Rate Box at $8.95, and post it to a Large Flat Rate Box,
the package will be returned to you. Unfortunately, we do not have a
timeframe for when the option will be available for use with PayPal
Shipping. I regret the inconvenience this may cause you.
Thanks again for contacting us, and thank you for being part of the
PayPal community.

What a joke, "Lori" didn't even ANSWER the right question to begin with.
I asked about the SMALL box, not the LARGE box!
And how hard is it to update rate and add a couple of USPS options?
Yet another reason ebay/PP won't be around forever.
EDITED TO ADD: You CAN print the small flat rate priority option on USPS.com.

Those will be added in 2015, right after they add the large flat rate that's been out for about 18 months now.

Insane. Is ANYBODY in charge of customer service quality control at these places.

<< <i>Assuming ebay and paypal are still around by the time they add it. >>
Didn't you hear? I heard eBay is going to buy WalMart and make you swipe your PayPal info at the checkstand...
<< <i>You could go to usps.com to ship.

Me, too. Works great. However, I've used the PayPal option as well and, were it correctly configured, it would be the most convenient.
All I can think is that eBay is absolutely mad at its' money. All of those poor little profits left abandoned on the side of the road to obsolescence.

Hey, like I said, I'm still new to this. I am a child of the digital age. I expect things to have a certain level of intuitiveness that unfortunately PP lacks.
As for USPS, I do go to them to ship, but it's not nearly as convenient. Unless I'm missing it, there's no way to import PP data into USPS to create the label. You have to type it or copy and paste the address in on USPS.

Not too funny I just ordered somethiing on Wall-Mart's site to store and one of the payment methods was PayPal.
<< <i>Yeah, you can use USPS.com for Priority just as easily as PP shipping -- just need to use your credit card instead of Paypal account. >>
But USPS doesn't automatically populate the address. You have to manually enter it unless you've already saved that person in your address book on USPS.com. If someone paid you for an item with PP, all you have to do is click on "print a label" and it auto populates that person's shipping info. Much easier than USPS.com IMHO.

Any Pitney-Bowes mailing program has the same issue. PayPal needs to place pressure on Pitney Bowes to get their act together.
