I just sent in two coins to DLRC for "trade credit" towards a coin I just purchased from them and they made me an extremely generous offer. They also negotiatedwith me on the price of the coin I purchased. In all I got the deal I wanted, and getting it was completely hassle-free.

Man, that was so much better then trying to sell those two coins on eBay myself.

I have purchased a few items from them. They are a pleasure to deal with. They promptly refunded my money when I returned one of their coins.

I have had a few transactions with them over the years, and have always been very satisfied.
Definitely one of the "good guys" in my book.

I've had 30 or so purchases from them as well as auctioning some of my stuff. Every transaction was handled with perfection. Get a good bit of items from their "make us an offer" coins. They also are very prompt on returning emails and/or phone calls. A+ company to deal withimage

I had not considered doing that myself. Interesting. After all, that is a coin dealership promarily and not an auction company, like they appear nowadays more. Maybe I can cook up a symbiotic trade sometime too. BTW, I have not been disappointed with DLRC at all in my transactions. Well....I am not quite sure how to keep up with all of those pens. They do come in handy now and then though for sure.

I bought one coin from them. Customer service was very good, and they were very candid about the coin (they pointed out that it had a long, thin hairline scratch in the lt. obverse field that wasn't evident in the image, and could only been when tilting the coin at a specific angle). Pricing was fair. The coin was so-so for the grade. I would do business with them again, though I'd want to see the coin in person first.

The Mercury Dime selection is no where as nice as it was a few years ago. It seems like they are getting just so so coins to me. I rarely buy from them anymore.

The one selling experience I tried to have with them was very disappointing. Low ball offers on all of the coins. I had them return all of the coins. This happened about 5 years ago and maybe it is different now.

Bought from them once, and was happy.

But, I do wish that they's stop sending me emails every 6 hours to tell me that "another DLRC auction is ending tonight". image

I've bought about 3 or 4 coins form them, no problems at all. I am kicking myself that it's not 5, though, I didn't hit a buy it now a week or so ago on a very reasonably priced cc dmpl.

They're nice guys and honest. However, I think they lowball their buy offers. Also, I haven't been "wow" impressed with the overall appeal of the coins I collect that I've seen on their website.

Glad your deal worked out though and that you're a happy camper.

Thank you to everyone for your positive comments here. I can assure you that this customer satisfaction is no accident. Everyone here from the numismatic trading department to shipping have a 100% commitment to customer service and building long term relationships. This is the example taught to me by my father and as we have grown the business over the years we've never lost sight of that most-important mandate.

We also feel that it's important for us (and other dealers!) to be leaders in the numismatic community so collectors can feel confident in putting their hard-earned money into the coin collections. To that end, we offer all sorts of programs to ensure that clients maximize the value of their coins when they sell, like Guaranteed Auctions, or fair consignment rates (no buyback fees in most cases, etc).

When you deal with thousands of clients, as we do, there will always be one or two people that cannot be satisfied but we are working on 100% satisfaction!!!

In the meantime, I have posted a Blog entry which characterizes my mood of the current coin market, if you care to read it...

    Thanks again.

probably the dealer Ive bought from the most, mostly because of their excellent customer service, always prompt and fair (IMHO)

btw, I bought my AU58 peace dollar from them, as previously stated, great to work with (I guess most places are like that as long as you're buying image )

I will be trying their grading service very soon...

John and I have had a few discussions on trade ins toward purchases (More on the monitary side ) and appearently he has
addressed these issues with what appears great success.
I have not stopped doing business with them as I continually have purchased from them and will probably look to trade in trade up
    again ...
Congrats John for the fine work
