Oh, this is fun! I just went to the mint website and checked my status, fully expecting to see a date of 2/11 as in the email I just got. Instead, my date has been pushed up to 2/06! Yesterday, the dates were 2/10 for both coin and book; today, both are 2/06. Status is still "On Hold" though, I haven't made it to the promised land of "In Process" yet...

Yep.....12:58 order...E-mail 1/11/09....but mint page says 2/06/09. Pushed back from 2/10/09......The fun begins when the first orders get shipped and we really can start to worry. That is if going for FS only but the $ is locked in.

I got a email stating the 20th also, funny thing got it 10 minutes after it went on sale. Hope I don't get a returned coin that one of you picked over or graded at 69 or less.

Ok this is what my little bird told me at the MInt in DC. The coins that are being shipped are already in process and you should get it on the time it was promised or the time it has changed.

As people continue to order these it might be that 6/9 month waiting period. So consider yourself lucky my coin friends.

I asked why was my date bumped from the 6th to the 20th because I was a firster ordering this coin. He said can't help you but the letter in front of him and on the US Mint website are the dates that the now in place for coins that are in stock at the mint. So the 20th could be the 20th or sooner. He said sorry for the mix up but they are happy with the sales up till this point.

Hope this helps. Whomever gets one first post a pick.

Also I saw one ebayer selling 20 of these on ebay for $1,700 buy it now for $2400.00. Again 20 there lays the problem with flipping.

That would confirm the suspicions of many that since that was the earliest date the book was available to be shipped that the first 4000 or so UHR orders are being held to go out with the book. Curious though of those who were 2/06 and now being pushed to 2/11 and beyond have coins in stock and ready to ship or if it is just that the mint has manpower to just send out so many orders a day that they are pushing everyone out for their own convenience?

OK, here is a new theory. The coins have to get from the US Mint on the East Coast to the Fulfillment Center in the Midwest. The Brinks Truck transporting them ran into the ice storm and is sitting somewhere enroute waiting for a tow truck to get it out of the ditch.
