Can you get a pedigree back?

in U.S. Coin Forum
Let say a coin from a ex famed collection is bought by a crack-out dealer who shoots for an upgrade...

then dumps the coin the second it comes back the same grade.

If you can prove with prior auction pics that it's the same coin...

can you get the pedigree back image

    Nope there's a coin sitting in a dealers inventory... which I recognize! image

    yes with photographic evidence (if for instance, plated in an auction catalog) this can be done and a TPG will recognize

    I might have made Saintguru an offer on his 1909-S Lincoln if he hadn't removed the Jack Lee pedigree off the PCGS holder, I could care less about the CAC sticker.

    I was able to purchase a large number of Blythe half dimes from Heritage, while non of the coins are noted on the holders, the plate coins from the book should be easy to pedigree.

    That was my thought too, except for the offer part, don't need one, don't want one, unless it's free.imageimage

    what if you have a pedigree coin from PCGS and send it into PCGS for a regrade or reholder will they put the pedigree back on it?

    If you ask them to. If you don't ask, they may miss it.
