Basically, what is a fair price based on $850 gold spot are dealer's paying for $20 Liberty's in AU and/or BU and what is their fair selling price?

Not sure what the going rate is on these, PCGS price guides seem way off on common $20 gold in AU. I've had a common 1892-S $20 in PCGS AU58 in my BST post for a couple of weeks at $1150 and haven't gotten a single offer... So, I'm guessing the value of a common $20 PCGS AU58 is somewhere between $850 and $1150...

I had one of the national vest pockets call me last week before the printing of the Jan 2 greysheet and tell me that premiums were going up by about 200 over spot. He quoted me 1050 on XF/AU $20 (lib's and saints) . So I went around and bought up all I could find around here and shipped them to him. And sure enough the CDN ladjusted and even commented about the increase.

Back three years ago the premium wasn't much - I bought several EF-AU's from Heritage at 515 ea. when gold was at 493.

So, the prudent dealer would be buying BU (MS60) at around $850-$900 it seems. Or is this a bit low?
