It's an 8 OC, the flash covers the OC.

What a joke, You can tell the card is off center on the back of it. Flash covers up the OC

    Grade: NEAR MINT-MINT 8 OC

Very misleading. I'm not convinced the flash covered up that OC. I think it was photoshopped out.

The guy left himself an out by including the cert number in the title.

He will say that potential buyers could have looked it up.

That he has no idea what the qualifier means etc etc

Scammer in every sense of the word.

I think at least 10 guys here emailed him asking if it was OC.

    Steve

edited to add: I don't think he has replied to any of the questions asked of him.

I'm goint to take this a step further. I contend that the OC qualifier is not obscured by the flash, but was intentionally editted to appear as though it was part of the flash. The flash would not change the color of the flip surrounding the reflection, but it would obscure it. Notice the change in color of the flip immediately surrounding the secondary "flash." I believe the seller intentionally Photoshopped or otherwise altered the image to make it appear as though it is part of the flash. It is a totally scummy way to do business and in my mind, there is ZERO chance that this was accidental.

I'm with OTW. I think this may have been intentional. This was mentioned on one of the boards yesterday and several notified Ebay and PMed the seller. I PMed the seller and over a day later have rec'd no response. Another guy is selling a Sandy Koufax Dodgers Hall of Fame Plaque + Auto Item number: 370116177088. I PMed the guy and asked him if it's real, I get a "Of course not, you can't get a Koufax auto for $25". So I asked him to make it clearer and no response. Here is what is in his description.

I reported it to ebay and listed it as a fraudalant listing with a deceptive listing description and explained how the photoshopped glare is blocking the (OC). Maybe a few more people can do the same so everything works out ok.

I made that allegation in the first thread about this card.

I told EBAY the thing was PSd and that the seller is a FRAUDster.

    No results, yet.

The card can be bought, and honest FB left, BUT the buyer needs to wait

I sent him a question asking why he is scamming people like this. No response as of yet.

What would be the repurcussions if someone bid $10,000 on this thing and then didn't pay? I'm thinking about doing that to this POS.

No one touch that card, it is mine!
The flip is photoshopped. It's not the flash.
The flash give it an added touch, but look closer and you'll
see how white the flip is surrounding the letters which
he also covered the OC with.
  • Options
He did respond to one of the guys by simply telling him to "F*** OFF".

I think Scott is right about the photoshop. But if the pic hasn't been retouched, there was another light or two added to create this glare.

Just wait 24-hours or so before you leave FB.

Don't communicate with the CRIMINAL via EBAY after the close. String him along for a bit,
and ONLY use regular email to communicate; NOT the EBAY messages thingy.

The CRIMINAL will file an NPB to get his FVFs back.

Respond to the NPB that "you discovered the listing was fraudulent after the auction ended."
EBAY will remove any "strike" the CRIMINAL gives you and they will allow your NEG to stick.

Storm a legit 8 goes for around 2k or a lil more.

    a 7 is a 1000.00 card

    a 6 is a 600.00 card

    a 5 is a 450.00 card.

These are prices from when I actively bought and sold this set.

They of course could be a lil higher now.

An 8OC IMO is a 500.00 to 750.00 card depending on how it is OC.

Many 55's are OC in a way that does not take away from the overall appeal of the card
usually the sides are 50/50 but the t/b is 90/10 those cards still look nice.

If the OC is side to side, the eye appeal is lacking.

Just wanting to see if anyone is really going to bid on this card??? I want to bid on it, but how high do we need to bid to outbid a legitimate buyer?

I also sent the seller another question since he has not answered my first one.. I basically said, you know darn well the card is a 8 (OC) card and you have intentionally listed it as a PSA 8 card knowing it will sell for much more money. Additionally you altered the photo as well. You need to do the right thing and end the auction or you will probably get lots of bids from future non-paying bidders. BTW, you are a piece of s_hit and a low life loser.

I think the legit bidders are already out of the picture on this one.

I checked his other auctions....check out the Fisk RC he has for sale and then check out the scan of the back. It is the rare topps error Fisk Rookie front, Gwynn rookie back, must be worth a million
