Here's a simple one, post your favorite coin that you purchased in 2008, you can even post an extra 1 or 2 other coins if you can't quite make up your mind (but NO more than 3 in total).
Here's unquestionably my favorite coin purchance of 2008. To the best of my knowledge (of course I could be wrong) it was the only gold coin flown during the Mercury, Gemini or Apollo flights. The FIRST US spacewalk occured on Gemini 4.
Here's why the coin is so special:
Within the series, toned Franklins, that I specialize in, this coin was unquestionably my favorite purchase of 2008. There were no mint sets made during 1950, so finding a decently toned 1950 P or D is a very tough endeavour.
MAY YOUR 2009 BE FILLED WITH HEALTH, HAPPINESS, PEACE AND PROSPERITY!!!

I am a pretty simple guy. I was thrilled to finally obtain an 1885 NGC G6 Liberty nickel - the toughest key to my set, and I have to thank Glenn Holsonbake (PonyExpress8) for helping me with that! THANKS GLENN!!!
...and my second favorite: an NGC 1912-s F15.
Two keys down, one to go...
Anyone wanna help me out with a 1886 NGC or PCGS?
I have lots of raw Barbers, large cents, seated dimes and quarters Im willing to trade...
Anyway, I hope everyone has a prosperous 2009! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
my 3 fav's took alot to pull off for me
1st is my true rarity finally
2nd is my designation rarity...finally a 1965 sms dcammer
3rd is in for regrade but is my leader of the pack lincolns
Edited to add: That Morgan right above me is very, VERY flashy. Very nice. I also like those '57 double mint sets. I have a '56 double mint set (my birth year) that has similar toning...though maybe not as flashy as the '57's here. Also the early gold is great. I'm starting to get the early gold bug. Don't have the wallet for it...but I sure love the looks of some of those old 'beehive' early gold coins.

Is that the piece from Kagin's? Didn't that coin have an amigo that went with it?
