There has been too much sadness announced on these forums as of late.
My thoughts are with the entire family in this terrible time.

Here's hoping that 2009 brings less heartache for all and a speedy recovery for TexasT's son.

I'm sure that others have been praying hard for TexasT's son. I just opened this thread and now am praying for his family. It's nice to see the numismatic community circle around this family and hold them up in prayer. God Bless.

The latest update is as follows, " As for his condition, they took him off the ventelator last night, he is scheduled to go to surgery sometime this morning. We have come to understand that the doctors work at a quick pace and often we do not know anything until it has already happened."

This is the latest I have on the situation.

    Hang in there Tim.

To Tim, TexasT, and everyone concerned.

I just received the following PM, which I will let speak for itself.

I've never communicated with this very nice person so,
to keep him anonymous ( as he is not on & I have NOT asked if he want his
name mentioned or not) I'll just refer to him as "Mike".

Tim - the following is meant for you and yours. As found in my PMs.

I thought you might like to know this.
    Respectfully,
    BOOM ~

It is a blessed New Year. My Son has been released from the hospital!

I know the power of prayer, and I thank all of those that kept my family in their prayers, God heard you.

I was so amazed at the skill and caring of the medical staff at the Med in Memphis. Day after day I saw the miracles happen, including with my Son. We were able to bring him home last night. Other than the broken bones and the cuts and bruises, which will heal, he is making a rapid recovery, seeing him be able to walk again, able to carry on a full conversation with him has been one of those miracles you all prayed for and I thank you.

I was surprised at how soon he went from ICU to being released, I was concerned that they were sending him home to early, the Doctor explained that with all the infection problems that are in a hospital environment that the longer he stayed there the more risk he faced of getting sick.

    Again, a blessed New Year,

To all of you --- Thank You

    Tim

This is outstanding news Tim and such a great way to start 2009.

The Power of Prayer is incredibly amazing! Thank you, God!

God Bless you & yours in your continued walk through this lifetime.

It should go without saying that just as when a favor is asked of a friend and granted,
we all would not hesitate to thank that friend. As such - as we asked, it was granted, so
let us ALL not forget to tell God "Thank you" for the favors granted!

I am so very happy for all involved. Thank you for the personal things you shared with me.

What a great start to 2009. image

  • Prayer IS very powerful, as long as you BELIEVE. While I am not turning this into a 'religious' thing, I prayed daily, and the more that did pray, the more it DID help. It's GREAT news that he went from ICU to home so soon. With family surrounding him, the positive vibes, the support, he will make a remarkable recovery. I do still pray for your daughter, as well as her fiancee's family, to find the strength to deal with this still tragic event. Your son has a strong will, be as strong as he is, and all will be good for him. Congrats...gives new meaning to HAPPY New Year!
I'll come up with something, eventually.
