I haven't seen those before, Tennessee. When were they printed? What company?

    I didn't buy myself a gift--yet.

  • Like a lot of people here, I always wanted to get a 1981 Topps cut card case but just never pulled the trigger. For Xmas, I bought myself two. For stocking stuffers I bought a few 86 OPC baseball boxes. I have a big stocking.

Very nice stuff guys - looks like many are having a really good Christmas!

I have to say - the PSA 7 Aaron Jeff picked up is about as nice as they come! And the T206 Brown is a beauty!

But everyone has shown superb stuff!

My wife bought me a couple of old board games! They won't come in till after Christmas - I'll post when I get them. One is from 1890 and the other I've wanted for 2 yrs!

National League Ball Game - 1890

    and Waner's Baseball Game - 1930

I'm also in the market for a new guitar next year!

    Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!

ROCKCITYCHRIS, love the Red Sox autographs! You got some real superstars there, nice pickup.

Stone, it's great to see you post again. Beautiful games, I can't wait to see more pictures of them when you get them. The graphics are stunning!

You all have posted some sweet cards, all of which I would be proud to add to my collection. Even the Happy C3PO image

I don't have anything to post yet, but my wife has left me little hint notes with my coffee each morning for the past 4 mornings. I think it may be Tom Brady related, but I am not sure. She has made this Christmas a lot of fun for me.
    Looking for Carl Willey items.

It's been a terrible year for me financially so I really didn't buy anything special other than a few rack packs earlier this month. I won got them all for less than $18 with shipping.

That is an amazing guitar! I've always wanted an American Strat. I've owned a few Mexican ones.

I'm now pretty much a Gibson Flying V guy though.

Wow, that is just a gorgeous card.

I'm trying to place where that shot was taken....was that old Municipal Stadium in Cleveland?

Very nice. Are you just working on the 97 set? Or multiple years?

I'm getting into Gibsons a little more. Picked up a mint 98 Les Paul Studio this year. Very impressed with the playability.

The 54 Strat goes with the 52 Tele Thin Skin Reissue in my sig. Both very nice and well worth the money.

The Mexican Strats are excellent. A 03 Classic Player travels with me at the moment. Made some P/U mods to make it a bit more vintage sounding.

Also have the parts for an 08 Am. Strat mutant ready to bolt together. Body and trem of an 08, chunky neck from an Am. Deluxe, and Duncan Texas Hot P/Us. That one will come to life sometime in the next few months.

  • Well, I bought quite a few small gifts for myself for this Christmas, but the big one is this one:
I know a 5 isn't a big deal to everyone, but there is no way I could afford this card any higher right now, so I am pretty excited to have it.

  • Those are SWEET!!! I wrote to Bronko for an auto request in 1990 and received my letter back about 3 weeks later - he had died! There is the great story about him and how he was discovered - was discovered by a scout as Bronko was seen working out in a field!
  • Those are two of the finest Ryan & Seaver RC's I've seen! Those are BEAUTIFUL! Nice presents!!!
  • Bought this one raw as part of a collection to re-sell, but made an executive decision to keep this one.

A guy recently ran across a partial case of these and has been subbing the Thomas rookies. I talked him into joining PSA and submitting a few, so hopefully he'll snag the 1st 10 and I can get early dibs on it. He received three (3) 9.5's from BGS, but at the $400 price tag, I didn't want to pull the trigger. Snagged this BGS 9 for a sound though...about half of what the last few have sold.

    image

I can't wait to have it in hand. If it will cross, I'll probably do that. If not, I'll hold out for a PSA 10 and this will tide me over until then.
