Great cards everyone. I will post mine later. No shame in a 1955 Bowman Mantle PSA 5. That is a great grade to collect for the era.

Good luck with that pack! I hope your 12 commons will all be nicely centered.

jk, I hope the person who had it slabbed had some sort of ethics and left some RCs.

So you are saying that the original seller of this graded pack is possibly a resealer??
What do you base this on??
  • billwaltonsbeardbillwaltonsbeard Posts: 3,748 ✭✭✭✭
card sequencing. It's pretty easy to search those packs where the front card is visible. The 86 Fleer packs do have a break in the middle of the pack where the sequence starts over though.

So the 2nd half of the pack might yield a key card.

I really don't care what I get. A Jordan would be nice but, not a big deal if I don't.

    Hi Randy

Doin ok - band is coming along slowly - I've been playing my arse off! Working on speed exercises - arpeggios and learning new songs.

We played live last Friday - it was cold and we sounded weak - first time - we have a party to play in Jan - hope we're more prepared.

You've been doing great things with your 52 set!!!! Keep up the good work.

Merry Christmas!!!! BTW - got a call from a close friend - he wanted me to consider coming back on active duty for a year or 2 - holy crap!!!!!

No cards for Xmas this year. Picked up one of these beauties.

Fender American Vintage Reissue 1954 Stratocaster with Thin Skin finish.

    That's a beauty Keith! What's the cost?

I have small hands - so I'm limited to what I can play - my Ibenez has a very thin and flat neck - ez to wrap my hand around it.

Thanx for sharing and Merry Christmas

Same for me, no cards. Bought an Ipod Touch, now I can check these forums without having to use the laptop.

Here are a few I picked up for myself (I accidently bought the Thompson, I already had one).

I'll be opening this shortly ( I posted it a few weeks back on the mail call, I'm difficult to buy for so my wife handed it off for someone to give me for my family gift exchange )

Not a card, but this is what I bought myself for Christmas. My new concealed carry weapon. A Beretta PX4 Subcompact in 9MM. Now my Beretta 92 FS will move from off my person to my car and this will take it's place on me. The 92 FS was a pain to conceal as its a little large.

Not the most expensive card, but somebody who I collect and an absolute favorite. BTW, purchased from a fellow board member.

Just over $1400 shipped Mike. They're a limited run (www.wildwoodguitars.com). Next best thing to a Fender Custom Shop axe. The neck isn't bad, a C shape but deeper than the modern C shape necks, and it has a 9.5 fret radius so it's not flat but not like a 7.25.

This one and my Tele 52 Reissue will sit mostly until I learn to play better. Took up playing again as a second hobby, one that I can take on the road since my work has me traveling for months at a time. A Tele, Strat or Les Paul goes with me everywhere and a Line 6 Pocket Pod.

My wife would probably be happy to sell you one of my guitars when you're ready! Actually she is happy that I found another hobby but wonders why I need more than one axe. The other day we totaled up all I had spent on guitars, amps, and parts in the last year and even I was shocked. image

I posted earlier up in this thread that I bought 3 rack packs for myself and posted pics of the rack packs. Well I ripped them Xmas eve and here are some of the cards that were in them. Many of the commons that I didn't scan appear to be very nice cards. I only wish I could have these type of cards in my 76 to 79 rips. image

Here are some of my recent pickups. I thought I would stop during the last month, but what can I say I came into a little money and I am obsessed with sports cards.

Most my pickups were football. I did manage to pickup my first hockey card. A PSA 8 1971 Bobby Hull. Not sure where I am going with Hockey, but I always liked this card.

The below cards are from my wife and kids for Christmas. I know I did not buy them, but there was no other thread for showing what you got for Christmas.
