Well, Just call me a stupid screw-up...................

I sold a coin on ebay last week and either lost it or shipped it to someone else, either way I can't find it, not expensive but I can tell you it makes you feel like an idiot,
the buyer has been great about it which I am grateful for, I have been tearing the office apart for days, emptied all (3) of the safe's.........0.........

I was hoping that if I did ship it to the wrong party I would hear something, we shipped about 100 orders in a 3-4 day period so it could be anywhere, or still here...

Anyway do me a favor............Call me stupid!

I mixed up two orders once. The person who received the bigger order emailed me to tell they received the wrong order. They took it upon themselves to mail it to the person listed on the invoice. The other person claimed they didn't receive the other persons order. Oh, well that is how we learn. Good Luck I hope you get a person like the first one.

  • You are not stupid, these things happen all the time especially when you have a large mail out hopefully if it went to someone else they will be honest enough to let you know.

I'd like to dial collect , if you don't mind. Please PM me your telephone number !
  • It happens:

1.) I'm still trying to find those three GW smoothies I know I probably sent to someone for free.

2.) I have had a guy send me (2) 2006 W $50 Buffalo PCGS First Strike PR70 DCAMS last year instead of the one I bought. If it had not been for me, he would have never known.

3.) I almost sent a $10 2008 W Buff out by mistake with another coin. I had to retrieve the package from post office and re-open it up to get it.

My favorite thing to do is leave the packing slip out only to remember it while gazing at the fantastic tape job I just did on that package!!!

back when I used to sell frequently on ebay, I had to limit myself to ten auctions per week. More than that and I would make stupid mistakes like the ones listed in this thread.

I once received someone else's coin from a ebay seller from Australia. I let the dealer know of the mixup and forwarded on the coin to the proper buyer. The coin was quite a bit more expensive than the one I had won. The seller sent me a little extra with the next lot I won from him. image

    Not stupid.
You are human and people make mistakes. they happen.

At least you aren't blaming someone else on it, which I see all too often, as people don't like to take responsibility for their own actions. You are. Good for you and I hope you find it!

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    Been there done that
Both parties were very cooperative and honest and cross shipped the items for me
I promptly refunded the monies they paid to cross ship and refund there original shipping costs they paid
I just chalk it up to a "duh" moment

Sum: Some of my best eBay interactions have been through F*-ups.

In fact, my best email eBay pals are bruised transactions that came 'round.

Despite the "oh crap" factor, consider us all Human.

    Cheers!
