I FEEL STUPID! MY SCREEN NAME WAS GRABBED AS A DOMAIN NAME BEFORE I DID IT!

I am slightly upset. At myself. My screen name was also to become my domain name. My coinspeak was to be my avatar.

COINSPEAK.COM

Someone on this board bought this domain name very soon after I registered it as my screen name here.
Is it someone on this board?
If so please pm me.
I do know who bought it through whois but would like to see if they are on this board.
But I am upset because I have no one to blame but myself.
I also had what I believe to have the best name in a former business.
The business was basically stolen right out from under me.
Again no one to blame but myself.

I didn't do what I am going to share here and now.

I didn't put security cameras with 24/7 365 day continuous recording on all areas of my physical office.

And tell no one. Put it in myself.

Last night I saw some high end security products.

That I am not sharing.

I just looked up coinspeak.com and saw that whoever it is is using it as a site where they direct you elsewhere and I am sure earn $$ by doing so.

Good name right!!I
I am going to shut up now.

Going to the show in White Plains today.

Looking to learn.

I have come from the bank and have some coins to sell.

1) 1947 Mexican 50 peso 37.5 g solid gold coin.

The coin has great original luster. Around the rim it has some marks nd a small, very small scratch on the obverse.

what do you think someone would pay me for it$$

Thanks all.

Go to godaddy and see if it's on the sale or domain auction list. Also if you do a whois lookup you can find out who owns it.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • Why are you posting this now if you registered in February?

  • It's a matter of public record available on the who is of most major registrars. It was registered several months after you registered on these message boards. Most likely a coincidence.

left this out - but you can find it on-line

Well, if I am reading the above post correctly, then the OP registered his/her name here several months AFTER the domain name was registered. The OP registered here in Feb 2008. The domain was regietred in Aug 2007-and it expires in Aug 2009.

I used one of Nostradamus's Fortrains to register it in 2007. I knew that coinspeak would pay "big $" to buy it back from me.image

Thats how I read it too, further confusing the OP's statements. Not only was this posted well after the OP joined these boards, but the OP says the site was registered after he/she joined here. That doesn't seem to be true either. If anything, the OP probably got the name from the site.
  • I joined Pcgs prior to putting my name on this board.

    Check and you will see

Yes you are correct and I am wrong
I did not register my name here prior

I did however have that name in my head and didn't register it before someone else did.

    You guys are sharp.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention
    Oh well
I did a whois some time back and the registrant had not yet made the domain private yet

    I will move on

I recently tried to buy commoncentscoins.com and was a little ticked that it had already been taken. It turned out it was a forum member (who's name is nothing close to commoncents). I decided to buy commoncentsrarecoins.com instead.

  • Just to be clear. I don't steal or lie
I have been using that for years as my user name else where

I will shut up now and post later

I bought my name before someone else did as well as my wife and daughter

The one thing I would appreciate is not being called a liar, theif or suggest I get my ideas from others

    That's not who I am

  • I have another online bus and registered the .net and all other extensions but the .com was taken and I made a blind offer to the owner for $600.00 - he countered at $1,200. I declined - he then contacts me directly and offers to sell it for $1,000 and in the same email told me he paid $200 for it (that admission was illegal). I told him no and filed for the trade mark that day. He calls me two months later when he sees my trademark app. Tells me the price is now $2,500 because he has another buyer. I say no thanks.

He admits he is squatting on over 350 domains and buys and sells them. He says he wanted to make the offer before we met under unpleasant circumstances. He wants me to build out the brand for him by leasing the domain. I asked what he meant and he says he saw my trademark app and he would oppose. I told him all future correspondence should go to my trademark attorney and that when I do get the trademark he can expect me to file squatter arbitration. He also throws up a bogus web page with "TM" all over it after he realizes I am not playing his game. He said he would oppose the mark but never did.

I now have the trademark but am not interested in his domain. I had my attorney send him a letter informing him of the trademark and that if he sells it to someone else that he needs to disclose that to the buyer. His domain is now worthless for the type of product I sell.

There are a lot of these guys out there so it can happen. This guy was real slick and pull out every trick in the book on me but he lost all leverage when I filed for the federal trademark and he knew it.

    $10,000. and it's yours.

(I'll take 3/4 and find out who did it and give them the other 1/4)
