Heads Up! Live Cash Back at 30% this morning **AND IT WAS INSTANT**

UtahCoinUtahCoin Posts: 5,366 ✭✭✭✭✭
I did a "wii" search and it came up with a 30% cash back, then just search for whatever on eBay and the 30% stayed. I just bought a widget for $689 and got back the max $200.

Edited to add: And the big surprise, IT WAS INSTANTLY IN MY PP ACCOUNT!

Nice, I had to wait 60 days for my 25%. Thankfully, it's finally clearing on the 30th. It will be coming just on time. image

I just tried it for the first time. got 30% but it wasn't instant. Perhaps because my live.com account is brand new. --Jerry
  • is anyone currently getting a "request timed out" when trying to access the cashback page?

Yep. I think the system is probably being pounded today.

    Does anyone know if:
-- The MSN rule is 12 purchases per account forever, per 12-month period, or per calendar year? (I've already used my 12).
-- Would it work if I signed up my wife for Livesearch and PayPal on her computer with her e-mail name, even though we use the same internet ISP?
    When in doubt, don't.

Turn off your router, then turn it back on. That should change your IP address.

I was wondering that same thing.. I wanted to signed my girlfriend up since I've use my 12 transactions already. I'm worried about IP detection.

i have had this happen to me b4 where the money would come in...but then be taken back out, due to a software glitch

it's exciting if it is truly an instant cashback to get "black friday" and ebay off to a good start

would like to know from live.com or what/whomever if there is a link or statement as such.

i have an existing live account.

COINBOY will be all over this one....image

Same here, but it reminded me to check for BINs and, as a result, got a cool coin I was not expecting to find on ebay. image

Just tried it through Big Crumbs. The cashback page shows I have $73 cashback "pending," whatever that means. Combining a 10% coupon with the 30% cashback, that's a nice savings resulting from reading the threads here. Thank you.

I'm confused about the "live.com" connection with "Big Crumbs" though. Why are both needed?

  • I just bought a PCGS Jefferson proof first spouse for $499 -30% ($350 1/2 oz gold) but no instant cashback. It was my twelfth. I have a second ebay account and can do it again. This is within the rules (it was a live customer service rep that told me to do it) and you can send to same live account but the $2500 limit still applies.

Msn cashback and big crumbs are two seperate offers and have nothing to do with each other. You dont have to use both.
  • I don't use big crumbs, not worth the trouble to me. I bought a 2008 1/2 oz proof buffalo for a BIN of $520 ($390 after rebate) about 20 minutes after it was listed. I knew I only had moments to act. Big Crumbs probably would have cost me that deal. The best deals don't last more than 15/20 minutes.

Did everyone get instant cash back? I just bought a coin for $600 and it said the usual "...cash back will be available in paypal in 60 days.... How do you get instant cash back?

  • Me either, not instant. BUt I am still excited taht I upgraded my camera to a Digital SLR and got $200 pending in cash back. Now I need the book and I will be one of those pains that keep posting pictures all day. FWIW, it's a Nikon D60 with 2 lenses.

I purchased 20 2008 ASE's and got $101 cash back instantly about 15 minutes ago. I then deleted the temp files, cookies, history, ect.. and logged in with my wife's account to purchase a memory card for our church and used the cash back and the $8.56 is pending... I don't know what their formula is for instant vs. 60 day hold.

I picked up a Nikon about three weeks ago and maxed out the MSN Live cashback. I just might have to start using MSN Live instead of google for a while to pay them back for this great offer.

I want to thank the members of the forum for explaining how to use the Microsoft cashback program. I purchased an 1835 PCGS AU55 CBH on E-Bay about 30 min. ago. I first used my 10% E-Bay coupon and they took off $55.80. Then Micro Soft credited me $167.40 instantly. The original cost was $558.00 and i paid a total of $334.80.

I just used it for a collector coin on e-bay and got 25% instantly. It was a coin was eying anyway, so this made the decision easier.

I read not too long ago that Microsoft was actually making money on this due to the increase in ad revenue.
