Midnight is going to be kinda late for me but I figure I would see what the mint does. If it is a "government licquidation" sale, we might see things going for "pennies on the dollar"! (but we know that isn't going to happen)

Make that three questions. Seeing how all sales are final, if we place an order, does that also mean we can not cancle it before it ships?

But, but, but, but. What if the mint sells all gold and platinum coins for spot and has free shipping?

The price of gold is set by faith, or lack of, in the currency it is priced in.

Sorry to blast all these posts with same info, but I talked to a mint rep and she said that the bullion prices have already been adjusted, they will not be adjusted again for tonight. Tonight's sale is mainly for collectable items and annual sets.

But those only sold 3,800 initially...

I think it's amusing that you would get all excited about buying coins that, as can plainly be seen from the sales figures, nobody else seemed to want. Could it be there's a reason hardly anybody wanted those things?
