Another NewPS: 1822 Bust Half.....Opinions welcome.

Please give your opinions on this Bust Half. Lustre is strong on the Obverse but rather dim on the reverse. I have a hard time grading these so I will let the experts chime in........

I love the obserse of that coin. The reverse looks strange, but I have seen other bust halves like that, I have always wondered if
the reverse toning came from being in an album of some type.

From the pic I grade it AU50

I'm saying 53/55 for this coin. Leaning to 55.
Just a hammered strike with the central details really standing out from the fields.
Probably would have PL-ed if in higher grade w/more luster.

AU55 I'd say, but the reverse almost looks retoned...I assume it's just the picture though.

They don't get much better than that circulated. AU 55/58 IMO

My guess is AU-55, and I agree with Fishteeth that it looks like the reverse was maybe pressed into one of those cardboard folders or albums and toned differently from the obverse.

AU55. The reverse toning muting the luster should keep her out of a 58. Then again, I am having trouble discerning clear evidence of rub so perhaps she finds her way in to a 61 holder.

Nice coin! I'd say mid-AU like the others.

What is that gunk between the E & D in UNITED and the E & S in STATES? hope it's just toning.....

If photo is correct the reverse lack of luster will hold this coin to an AU55. Appears to me to be an O-105 R3. This is Just My Opinion. Great coin, absolutely.

I'm having a whale of a time finding any wear on this gorgeous piece.

My first reaction was a high AU but the more I look, I can't see wear!
