One more grade the Morgan - big pics warning.

Thank you all for your input on the previous Morgan. Here is another that I think should could be sent in. The obverse has more luster than this pic suggests. I think it is 65. What say you?

I don't think it will go to 65 because of the strike,
    limited to 64

    the rev is very nice

Wow, that is preettttyy! But the issues with the "over the ear" hair will keep it to 64. Nice 65 if that
    were a strong point.

64 max. I saw the obverse and thought it was going to be a really nice 87-O.

MS64. It has interesting blue-purple reverse toning hues, also.

Interesting! So this is one where the strike is likely to limit the grade. I had seen the "hair above the ear" issue and wondered if it was perhaps AU, or simply a weak strike. Thank you all again.

If the coin was an O mint.....I don't think it would be an issue since they are known for weak strikes but as a philly coin....one would expect a much better strike on a MS65 coin. I am sure there are worse coins in 65 holders though.....image
