What is the best way to sell a BUNCH of raw - low to mid grade type coins? UPDATED TO SHOW PICTURES

I have a bunch (probably around a 100-150) of coins that I just don't want anymore. They were passed down to me, and I took the best of what was there for my Dansco 7070 and kept the ones that had sentimental, but have no real desire to keep the rest. None of them are overly valuable, and I don't want to make a killing selling them, but I also don't want to walk into a dealer and sell the whole lot as junk. It seems like an insane amount of work to split them all up individually to put on ebay, so I am just torn as to what to do. Maybe there is some way to group them into smaller groups for sale to simplify the process, or maybe (hopefully) there is something I am overlooking. I figured if anyone would know the answer to this dilemma it would be you guys.......so what do you think?

EDITED TO REMOVE THE LIST OF COINS AND SHOW ACTUAL PICTURES.
I built a site real quick that has pics of most of the coins on it. Upon closer inspection, only about 85-90 of them seemed worth photographing and checking out. (there were more Junk IHC's in there than a thought)

All in all, a pretty good eclectic mix of stuff. Corroded large cents to what I think are fairly nice half cents and bust halves. Anyway, check out the pictures to see if it effects your ideas of what I should do.

Eric's Bunch of Low to Mid Grade type coins

How do I off them all without leaving a ton of money on the table? I want to free up some cash to buy higher grade coins in my areas of interest. What steps would go through if you were tasked to sell all of the above?

No idea is too crazy - and I do appreciate any and all comments. Eric's Bunch of Low to Mid Grade type coins

if you put them up on ebay in the right category, buyers will attribute them, that's for sure!

I think taking them to a coin show might be your best bet and the most fun way of getting rid of them.

    Put them on the BST!

I would group them as you have in the OP and offer them on the BST..... save on fees and get an honest return. Let us know (me, in particular) if you do that. Cheers, RickO

Selling on the BST could work if you don't mind trying to sell 150 coins individually. That includes postage, emails, photos, returns, and lots of your time.

A group like that should be fairly easy to sell at a larger show by putting all the bust halves or say all the Morgans as one large lot.
The Morgans if mainly just common coins in circ could sell easily on the BST as well. You have mostly highly desirable inexpensive type coins that have a nice following.

You would get a fair price at a show since bust coins and silver coins have well defined values and tighter spreads than many other coins. Your local dealer would probably start at 50 cents on the wholesale dollar, but I think you could get 70-80% of retail by selling at a larger regional show. Bust halves, early half cents and large cents are still in demand. The national retailers have huge demands for low grade type coins. Get cracking because who knows what effect the stock market tanking will have on lower grade collector coins.

Basically, the "money left on the table" is the work it takes to get the best price for each one. If you do pics of each and every coin & then list them individually on the BST or, second best, ebay, that's how you'll get the most money. Of course, it's a pain in the butt, taking anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes per coin. You are right to question whether it is worth it.

My best suggestion for splitting the baby, so to speak, goes something like this: enlist the help of bust experts to attribute your coins. Anything special, sell by itself. Take the rest of the "commons" and put them in groups by type. Price them at maybe 88% of what you'd hope to get if you sold them all individually. Take obv & rev pics of the group, and put them on BST that way. That way you are basically selling nine items, plus any special varieties you find. If they sit, knock them down to 85% ... and so on. If you can't sell at 80% of what you'd realistically expect to get one by one, bring the whole bunch to a good meat-and-potatoes collectors' dealer (Tim Puro of Rutland, VT, for instance) and you ought to be able to get something very close.

The more work you put into selling them, the more value you will get out of them. Start with some pictures on the BST Forum, and see how that goes.

I'm bumping this because due to many requests I actually took pictures of most of the coins so people could see exactly what was there to give the best advice. I really can't say how much I appreciate all the input so far........ you guys are fantastic!

Do the pictures change anyone's mind or bring up any ideas?

Your site keeps going down...either you are yanking it for updates or it has problems. 3-4 times in the last 5 minutes

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
