1971-S Proof Strike Doubled IKE!
How's this for some dramatic Strike Doubling?

Or is it? Notice how the doubling line stop near the top of the forehead and near the bridge of his nose? It picks up again under the nose and the stops abruptly again near the bottom of the chin.

The rest of the coin displays typical strike doubling and some awsome rust colored toning around the rim!

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

<< <i>That is very cool Lee. Looks a lot like the MS 1971-S I have. If you've still got the camera out try lighting the front of the portrait - I think that may show the doubling better? >>
My light source was from the East and south through the Microscope on the compund picture. I tried turning the coin upside down but it did not show up any better.
The compund picture and the 4 just below it were shot with my 5mp Sony DSC while the images in the second post were done off of my HP 3970 Scanner.
This coin will go into PCGS for grading and Trueview photography. I'd be happy with a PR68 DCAM but I suspect, due to the toning and haze, that it will go MS67 or less.
