She needs a haircut. 45 seems a fair grade.

  • Looks nice. will grade it XF40.

XF, but has it been cleaned? Can't tell from the pictures.

    XF, possibly cleaned.
    All glory is fleeting.
  • I am with the XF-40 crowd- nice looking half with some pretty color. It looks like maybe it's one of those that when tilted just right "lights up" with that golden/tan look.

I'd say strong 45, unless there is more than dirt bisecting the shield. I do not see evidence of dipping. Maybe some effort to remove dirt along the way.

    I like her too!

I'm not wild about the surfaces. 45 details, I'd guess.

I'm curious as to what is making people think it is dipped, or even overdipped.

Must have spent "hours" in that dipping bath! image
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Not sure I see a dipped coin but it looks like it might have seen a soap and water bath along the way. See how the dirt clings around and in the devices (look at the reverse arrowheads) yet the fields are so clean right up to the dentils, even between the stars?
Looks like a nice coin with a hit on the reverse shield. XF wear on this one (the birds talons help with the grading for me).
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"
