XF, but has it been cleaned? Can't tell from the pictures.
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector. Recipient of the coveted "You Suck" award, April 2009 for cherrypicking a 1833 CBHD LM-5, and April 2022 for a 1835 LM-12, and again in Aug 2012 for picking off a 1952 FS-902.
I am with the XF-40 crowd- nice looking half with some pretty color. It looks like maybe it's one of those that when tilted just right "lights up" with that golden/tan look.

I'd say strong 45, unless there is more than dirt bisecting the shield. I do not see evidence of dipping. Maybe some effort to remove dirt along the way.

<< <i>I'm curious as to what is making people think it is dipped, or even overdipped. >>
Not sure I see a dipped coin but it looks like it might have seen a soap and water bath along the way. See how the dirt clings around and in the devices (look at the reverse arrowheads) yet the fields are so clean right up to the dentils, even between the stars? Looks like a nice coin with a hit on the reverse shield. XF wear on this one (the birds talons help with the grading for me).
