You ever read "Goofus and Gallant" in Highlights magazine for children? Perhaps we can think of a few examples in our sphere.

Goofus sells severely shined old silver coins as "proofs" in the flea market.
Gallant sells only original surfaces coins on flea bay.

Goofus puts his greasy thumbprint on his friend's coin.
Gallant is careful to handle the coin only by the edges.

Goofus would greedily dip a nice original Gem 1922-S Peace Dollar, only to change the eye-appeal and
overall look of the coin and have PCGS only grade it MS64 (or less.)

Gallant would NEVER dip any coin.

Gallant would be a grader at PCGS.

Gallant does original research and carefully documents his work.

Jeez, now I'm feelin' REALLY old! I liked the original artwork back in the 60's. The Timbertoes...
