I also like the fact that you clarified that on the small date, the date is smaller, that has always confused me.

Yeah, yeah, my nails are dirty. It comes with my job....there might be 10 year old soot still under my nails. If I was a businessman, or a coin dealer my nails would be perfect. As fate has it, I work in a VERY dirty environment!

Are any of those coins subject to polyvinyl chloride ? A few appear to be in soft flips.

Unlike silver or copper, gold is a very non-reactive metal. Although the soft "pouches" do appear to be made from PVC, even the oldest coin (1982) shows no evidence of PVC damage, or even residue. The coin's surfaces are as prooflike and smooth as the day it was minted over 25 years ago.

That was bought a long time ago before I started collecting these in earnest. It will be upgraded when a nicer one comes along.
