Crack?
Is this a small die crack I found on a 1983 cent. It seems to reach from each side of the memorial to the edge of the coin. Very small and this but with raised edge. Please give me your thoughts. and please forgive the photo....still working on getting them better.

I would love to see the one struck a few hundred after this one.

I know this isn't a die crack forum per se but I've been wanting to show this for some time.
I'd like to use this as a test to see if I remember how to insert photos in a file.
I think this is a super diecrack running from about 1 o'clock to 8 o'clock CCW.
I don't know if it adds value to the coin but it's in my collection.

At least I managed to get the picture so you can click on it.
I'd appreciate help doing it right.
Thanks, JET

I collect all 20th century series except gold including those series that ended there.
Quality control really went by the wayside in this era also sad to say.
Think about it from the mints perspective. Coins were made for as little cost as possible and they really do not care
about the condition of the finished product as long as it could pass for the coin they intended minting. They produced proofs for us coin collectors to collect. This is also why a nice high grade MS coin from this era is a rarity.
