Gus is a guy who knows his coins. He picks coins with superior eye appeal and, if he says it is PQ, it is PQ. I've known him from the shows for many years and you can trust him. Sometimes, he can be a little gruff when talking to him in person.

He is usually at the shows here in St. Louis. I bought many of my silver commemoratives from him from 1996 to 2000. Top quality coins. Usually white or slightly toned. Does not usually have heavily toned coins.

    I have not!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

Sure. Gus is a good guy, a survivor in the business for years for all the right reasons. Je knows Morgans, knows coin quality, and can be a little peculiar at times but that is his character. I like him and he is a trusted dealer.

Gus deals in very nice Morgan Dollars, and early 20th century coins. He knows his area of market very well and offers coins at fair retail prices. I've purchased some very nice commemorative coins from him over the years.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I think he is great because he shares the same name as my beloved greyhound, who died a while back.

I've bought at least 40 coins from Gus over the years. All Morgan Dollars. He has a good eye for quality. He has also sent me many coins on approval from his web site. Gus is a good guy and I always enjoy talking with him at shows. image
  • I have dealt with Gus Tiso before. His coins are mostly quite nice but his prices tend to be on the slightly higher side and he doesn't really offer you much room for negotiating, though.
