  280 watchers in the first three hours. eBay pulled the auction in that third hour. I won't bother with the details, but it was fun while it lasted.

  I've never been able to determine a correlation between the number of watchers and price realized.

  Actually it was a "box of 20"
  It included an MS 68 Cheerios Sacagawea, proof 70 Plat, "72 DDO Lincoln in MS 66 and an assortment of other coins totalling over $25,000. according to then published price guides.
  However, I did not elaborate what was in the box. I only said it had a value of over 25 grand. The title said : ebay, PCGS and a PowerScrewer™ have teamed up to bring you a "Go Fish" auction.
  A gal from these boards was the high bidder when it was pulled. The bid at that time was $10.

  I've had some photo equipment with far more than that. However, large numbers of watchers doesn't translate into large number of bidders in that category. In the case of bullion coins, it may. Good luck!

  Yes, but it had nothing to do with coins. I sold a pair of lower bowl AFC championship tickets for the Broncos-Steelers game a couple of years ago. It was a 3 day auction and I had over 20 watchers in the first day. Near the end there were over 40 watchers.
