First Coin Shop visit! How did I do for $20? Large Cent!

Was walking back from a doctor's appointment in New York with the misses, and saw a coin shop! There werent too many coins, many more antiques and glass items. There was a maching like a vending machine, where you hit a button, the shelves would revolve showing coins. Most of the stuff was common date lower grade stuff, and a few low grade bills. But one coin caught my eye...a 1821 Large Cent! I looked at it closely, and did not find any major problems besides a small rim ding. It was priced at $40 which was very reasonable, and the store owner offered it to me for $20! SOLD!

I honestly think that this is a $100+ coin!

Thoughts?

I don't think you did too well if you came back with nothing for $20.

Great semi-key date Large Cent purchase.

I don't know if it's worth $100, but the original $40 is still reasonable.

Where was the coin shop? Whenever I am in the City, all I get handed are those little fliers for "adult clubs" as I walk along the sidewalk. By the time I make it back to Grand Central, I am holding enough paper to decorate a decent sized studio apartment.
