1965 Quarters - DDO?

I just received my AM411T in the mail today!

Last week I was going through some quarters and found two of note that I believe exhibit doubling. I will post each one separately.

Please feel free to correct any misuse of the terms I am using as I want to get it right!

Everybody stubbs their toe on Strike Doubled coins which is what these are.

This forum is great and I appreciate all of the feedback. It appears that I am tasked to study up on the differences between Strike Doubled coins and Doubled Dies. It seems that I will be easily sucked back into the coin collecting world where I've been absence for nearly 20 years.

Most of the time it's pretty easy to tell but there are some out there
that can fool you. The strike doubling usually has a shelf like appear-
ance. Frequently the shelf will even look look metal was scraped along
it. The doubling on doubled dies will usually display a little true separ-
ation between the two impressions of the hub. Serifs show this separ-
ation best.

When in doubt just get out a good 18x glass and give it a good look un-
der strong incandescent lighting. Usually you'll know and with a little more
experience (especially in finding true DD's) you'll almost always know.

i pulled this one out of pocket change down in the market square area NH , its nice and where its doubled it is also highlighted with flashes of goldish yet cooperish gleam ! as far as grade it must be up there id think .

@seeds.... Welcome aboard. Please post pictures when you can - in a couple of days since you are a new member. You likely have machine doubling, which is not numismatically valuable. However, we will need pictures to ascertain what you have. Cheers, RickO
