No way to tell VAM 17 from those pictures. The lighting, exposure, and focus buried any edge detail long ago. VAM 17 tends to be in high BU grades, but the premium isn't terribly large. Maybe someone is thinking 65 ATS. Not a very wise thought, though.
You mean there is a VAM for a blurry out of focus reverse? Cool! Must be valuable. Looks just like what would happen if you screwed up taking a picture!
I think you VAMmers are overanalyzing. This looks to just be a case where two people simply wanted it. Maybe they thought it was an upgrade or something. It's not like it sold for $250.
