Should the moderators here add another Forum for eBay related topics like they did with precious met

I suppose that some could find the posts related to eBay and the sales of coins distracting to this US Coin Forum. Should they have another forum for sales (not BST) and ebay related topics?

I think it just seems like there is so much eBay because of the current 30% cashback promo... and when eBay keeps changing their fees/rules...

    Normally there isn't too much.

The BST seems to work when people put "eBay" in their thread titles.

No, but that doesn't mean I don't think there shouldn't be a special place for threads about forum attitudes
    about ebay threads.

Seems we are down to so few posters everyone could now have their own forum. Sad really, this place used to be vibrant, now it seems like you have to wait a week just to see a post move off the front page.

It's almost time to stick a fork in this place. Hopefully our gracious hosts will wake up and smell the coffee before it is to late. jws

  • No way. It's impossible to tell how many bad deals I could have gotten myself into without reading some of the ebay posts on THIS forum.image But I'm sure there are more than a few. Hope it stays!!!

That's been said a few times a year, or the years.
No. Why would they want to add another forum to moderate? The PM forum made sense....an ebay one does not, imho.

Besides, they need to pay for the forums so we don't have to, right? image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

LOL. Do we have that much time? Ebay won't be around much longer if they continue shooting themself in the foot. Who wants to go to a site mostly full of overpriced buy it now junk?

No. I'm no big fan of ebay, but if there's ebay in the header I can just choose not to read it. Same goes for OT posts and precious metal posts, personally I think all should be allowed but then it's not me footing the bill for this forum...

  • Then we would need an AT/NT forum and a grading forum and a...
Witty sig line currently under construction. Thank you for your patience.

No, the moderators do a fine job tolerating us , as is.

No. We have enough forums. If you don't want to read eBay threads, just skip them.

  • It doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I skip most posts that have Ebay in the title anyway.

Absolutely there should be an ebay forum. Or even better we should just ban ebay posts. This is a coin forum, not an ebay forum. There are plenty of places to go and discuss ebay. Flame away.

    ...on the flip side,

    YES !

Then everyone should be required to put Ebay in the title. There are threads on the top page this morning that are ebay crap with no mention in the title.

No, eBay has it's own forum's you can go there if you want.

No. It would cause conflict because some of the sellers or bidders no doubt have vested interests in auctions and are on this board.

I DO feel however that those with an expert eye or opinion should chime in when they see something on ebay obviously wrong, fake or fishy.

Maybe we need a forum for the whiners and complainers. image

I don't like the 'other forum' being separated - It makes me feel so, so, so . . . . . . disconnected.
