Live rebate at 30% for now

Just bought a gold buffalo got 30% rebate. Since I've already got money (and spent it) from this program I am certain I'll see this money. Just thought you might want to know.

Well, I found a 1/2 ounce Eagle in PCGS 69 (needed it for my type set anyway) and almost got the maximum of 200 back per purchase. I believe my cost after rebate will be $417.00, well under spot. That 200 maximum makes it almost not worth the 30% on a full ounce. Thanks again AgentJim!

I just went to www.live.com signed in, and searched for Gold Buffalo, and the ebay link was there with the 30% advertised. Then in ebay I changed the search to GOLD PCGS.

I completed signing up for my account at live.com and it doesn't show
any cash back as of yet (pending or other wise)

Does this take awhile to show up?

As long as it showed it when you used buy-it-now in the checkout process, you should be good to go.

It does take 2-3 days to show up on your live.com account.

It depends, you have to complete the transaction within one hour of searching through live.com while in ebay, or you have to try again. I would try contacting the seller and see if they are available and would accept quickly, instead of locking in a BIN offer. I am actually not even 100% sure it would work with an offer, but if it didn't it wouldn't show up that you will receive it during the checkout process, before you confirm the purchase.

Yep ,Just used my last,#6, rebate. Only 200 max. so did not buy gold. Bought 90% for 8x face after rebate. Maybe they will increase the amount of rebates at a later time

I've only used it one time. I can't get it to show up on ebay now with the cashback icon. I've deleted all my cookies, has anyone else experieced the problem and found a solution ?

what is a live.com account? is that like paypal?

do you get the credit by using your regular ebay account and your regular paypal? how can you be sure you're getting it before you spend the money?

www.live.com is a microsoft search site. Go there and find their cashback link and sign up for an account.

Once you have done that, go back to www.live.com, sign in (upper right of the screen if you are not already signed in) and do a search for something like Gold Buffalo.

You will see results, and at the top will be ebay and beside it will be the amount you can get back.

You do use your regular ebay and paypal account.

It only works on Buy It Now products, and you should read all the fine print. There is a maximum of 6 purchases allowed on ebay, maximum of $2500 back in a year, and a maximum of $200.00 back on any one purchase, so at the 30% rate, you are getting max value at about 670 dollars.

I don't know if that link will work for others or not, but after you log in and search ( I did "gold buffalo") the top search result is Ebay, and beside it it says 30% off still. You click the ebay link, and at the top of the search pages (in ebay), it will show the 30% Live.com rebate logo.

It has to be buy-it-now.

Once you have found what you want, click buy-it now. On the confirmation page, it will show the discount and the symbol if its available. This is before you confirm the purchase, so you don't have to go through with it unless you see the amount you get back. The one's where it isn't are probably using third party checkout systems.

Once you click the link to eBay you should see a 30% cashback logo on your eBay screen.
If you have that then any bin item on eBay is eligble that takes paypal as payment and does not use a 3rd party checkout system.

Make sure it says the purchase will give you 30% cashback before confirming the purchase after you use the bin button. If it dosent and you confirm you will not get paid.

Yes it is a good opportunity for sellers too.
I am sure most everything that has a reasonable bin will sell fast as long as the 30% is active.

I am not finding anything with a rebate on it . I have looked at nearly all of the 2008 Buffalo items and there has not been a hint of a cashback logo. I may be doing something wrong, but I did not see a cashback logo on Ray's link that he posted and it was the exact page that I had been on, in ebay. Maybe everything has been bought??

1. If you choose to dispurse the cash via PayPal, once you can withdraw it, do you have to pay PayPal fees on it?

2. How can you reach the max $2500 savings if you can only do 6 transactions @ a max of $200 savings each?

1.No fees from the ms-paypal transfer. If you want paypal to mail you a check they will probably charge a fee for that but to do a electronic transfer to your bank account will probably be free depending on what type of paypal account you have.

2. The restriction of 6 transactions is only for eBay. Live cashback is available from other retailers but usually a much lower precent.

In the search bar, type in something like "PCGS Gold Buffalo." In the search results, you should see an eBay link on the first page. Click on the link with the cashback banner next to it, and the rebate should show up on eBay's search results page.

Thanks, SIlverEagles, I got it to work. I didn't really need anything, but I picked up a PCGS 69 Silver Iowa Quarter for my girlfriend...she's from Iowa and might get kick out of it. I know it's no big deal, but it was a good way to test the cash back. Thanks a lot guys!

No there are some restricted items and sellers that use a 3rd party checkout system will not work.

Is that limit per person? or per live.com account?

per live account I belive. I looked at the terms in the cashback agreement at ms and it says you are only allowed to maintain one live cashback account per person.

I know some people have more than one but if ms catches it you maybe out any pending cashback.

I also think paypal is the main tie-in to the eBay transactions so if you have more than one eBay account but tied to the same paypal account you will probably still not be able to exceed the 6 eBay transaction limit.

1. No receiving fees.

2. The 6 transactions is per Ebay account, you could have more than 1 Ebay account.

I did a search and it said 30% so I bought a copy stand I had been watching. Unfortunately I don't think I was able to get the refund because I was directed to the seller's 3rd party checkout. I think it only applies going directly through PayPal checkout. Oh well, I was going to buy it for the price I paid anyway.

I had given up on the cashback bonus, where it stayed at 4% for what seemed forever. Thanks for the heads-up. Picked up a gold Buffalo for a smidgin' above melt (a small smidgin' at that). Now, I have 1 left (used a 4% on a nice '21-P G6 Merc for my Dansco).....I hate to get a '16-D and crack it for the Dansco, but......for 30%, why not? A full set of Mercs with the '16-D and both '21's would make me feel a sense of accomplishment. However, then I'd have to start looking for upgrades, but.....the name of the game, isn't it?

Again, thanks for the heads-up!

Oh, tomorrow is my 7th day for the 'approximately 7 days' for the cashback to show in my Paypal account. I'll keep you all posted.

Yes...and they just told you above....67-77 days.
Takes 60 days for it to show up in cashback acct.
7+ days for it to transfer once YOU initiate the transfer.
