man, that is one "tough" coin... I would not want to own a coin that looks like that, but then again, I know nothing about this coin or its rarity/value.
Looks like an average 64. 34-S is supposed to have blasty luster. Based on the picture only (yeah, I know Heritage pictures aren't the greatest), this one that sold at Heritage strikes me as being much nicer -- better color, no skid mark across the neck. It brought $4,600. Another about as nice is lingering as a post-auction buy for $5,300. Both serial numbers are indicators to me that these are probably not generously graded. My guess is that it brings $4,400.

This is not in an old rattler. That is a rim issue at 12 on the obverse.

I own 4 of these PR68's.....bought them last year, my average cost was $105!! (one was $69)
Either these coins have a new popularity, or RussView® brings out the big money!!!
Is this normal for Peace dollar Mint matks?
