  • With that kind of toning, I'd have to see it in hand, but a wild guess is 63/64.

I'd like to see a bigger/better picture, particularly on the obverse, but if you held a gun to my head and forced me to make a WAG based on these images, I'd say 63.

I want to say MS64 or even 65, but...

The toning and slightly smallish pictures make it very difficult to be confident. The coin looks to have very few marks (MS64 or perhaps even better), but the toning hides how much lustre may be present, which plays a huge role in its grade. The strike is quite good for an 1888-O.
    When in doubt, don't.
  • MS63/64-need better pictures; especially of the obverse.

Nice reverse, but that obverse holds it down to a 63.

  • From the pics I would put it no higher than MS64, but in hand it could go maybe a low end MS65.

Really nice looking reverse... but it would all come down to how deep that scratch on the cheek is.

Its a solid 64 mabey a 65, the tough thing on this coin and why it could get dinged is the toining and original surfaces. To get the 65 grade the TPG's want big luster, but coins that have very thick original skins; like this one, tend to have a slightly mutted luster. You could dip off some of the skin and very likely get the bump.

I'd guess 64 from the scans.

Can't really tell from the picture as the toning is quite dark.

    Maybe 63, maybe 64....
