This is from NY Silversmith H. Salisbury & Co., (circa 1830-1838) and is made out of coin silver, weighs 56 oz(combined) and and is extremely rare.

Go to Early United States Coins - to order the New "Early United States Half Dollar Vol. 1 / 1794-1807" book or the 1st new Bust Quarter book!
This is the coin inspection table at the old New Orleans Mint. The coins would flip when dropped from the 1st conveyor belt to the 2nd one to allow examination on both sides.
If you are ever in New Orleans- I highly recommend a trip to the mint.
