there are collectors out there that specialize in current/former players of the Jewish faith and all the eBay seller did was try to get their attention by using those words in his title......Really nothing you "gotta love" about it
Successful dealings with Wcsportscards94558, EagleEyeKid, SamsGirl214, Volver, DwayneDrain, Oaksey25, Griffins, Cardfan07, Etc.
As a collector of a few different Shawn Green cards, I can tell you it comes up all the time in his auction descriptions. It does increase the value of some cards - not sure whether or not anyone's gotta love it, though.
Here's a thread I started about Hank Greenberg, who was Jewish, and the incredible prices his cards command ... perhaps partially due to his Jewish background.
The premium for Jewish players is especially high for pre-1950s minor league issues, especially where the player may have had acup of coffee in the bigs, but never made it on a mainstream card. Ike Danning played two games with the 1928 St. Louis Browns, and was never on a mainstream card.
Can anyone name the 5 Jewish major leaguers to hit 30 or more homers in a season? Four are pretty easy, one is somewhat obscure, unless you're 48+ years old or so.

Five? If you count Braun (technically he's not Jewish, but the son of a Jewish father), there are seven. Here are the others and their highest season totals:
Hank Greenberg (58) Shawn Green (49) Al Rosen (43) Mike Lieberthal (31) Sid Gordon (30) Mike Epstein (30)
