I also graded it 65dm, but it's nice to have a consensus, especially as this coin skyrockets over 64dm. The 82-s is much more scarce in dm than the 79-81-s coins, which can easily be found in 65dm for a reasonable price. I'll post pics when she gets home in a week or two.

I only paid a total of $386 for this coin, yee haw!! This makes up for all the losers I have ever bought, and then some.

That coin had to look stellar (and from the pics it does) for it to get 65DM with today's grading standards. PCGS has not so much tightened on 65s as they have on the DMPL designation recently. Congrats for sure!

Yes, the 82-S is, and seems to always have been, the sleeper among that stretch of S mint dates. The following year, 83-S, is a major rarity in DMPL....one of only three dates I didn't have in my DMPL set.....coming at best one-sided DMPL becaus eof the way they used the dies that year. 82-S gem DMPLs can look just as nice as their prior year cousins but are significantly scarcer. In the present grading climate, I would bet you really have a 66DMPL, which is, IMO, the ideal collecting grade for the date. Major congrats!
