I was probably going to start by trading it to you. It came from a single pack blister of all places. I bought the 5 they had left and it was the only one with a thick pack in there, ei state card or relic. Can the blisters be searched also??
Check your PM in a sec... as for the searching of blisters... no, they can't really be searched, but since the thick packs are VISIBLY bigger, it's EASY to simply eyeball and cherry pick the large packs.
I know nothing about modern... but I was at Walmart and figured I would pick up 4 packs of this stuff and see what it is all about. Any of these worth anything? I assume I did pretty well considering they all came out of only 4 retail packs at $2.99 per pack. They where all hanging on hooks in the plastic packages, but it looked like the plastic was crushed on every pack from someone pushing on it with there thumbs. Don't know if it makes much of a difference, but the Alex Rios is an AG back.

Not true at all! There are all sorts of cards worth gold on these boards. Check out people's trade lists. I've had a lot of good trades today. There aren't just DNA, relic's, and auto's. With the mini's you have the woods, A&G backs, Bazooka backs, and all the cool mini sub sets. With the base cards you have the F*kedome card that's hard to find and also the SP's. You might find a rip card even. Today at Target I found a red ink auto in a blaster. If you have a Target near you your chances of pulling something awesome is great. Post what you have to trade on here and you'll find that you might get some cool cards.
I should could use a few trades for regular minis. PM if you can help with the base cards.

I really do not think the injury is that big of deal to Wang collectors worldwide. Case in point, I listed the card less than 12 hours ago..and it is at $94 already.
If you're in Allen & Ginter to try and make a couple bucks, this set is not for you. I've pulled about 5 relics in my small-time spending on A&G boxes (1 hobby, 7 blasters), and none of them have sold for more than $2 each. I had a Carmona auto sell for just under $3. These cards are worthless for the non-A&G collector. It has a wide risk/reward ratio. When you hit, you HIT, but when you miss, you miss. I did enjoy the pack ripping, but I think I'm done with it. I think...
IMO the hot cards of the Allen & Ginter are the mini sets, and the most that wood bring in big buck are the woods which will take anyone years to complete even if you brake 12 cases. Wood cards are nearly none existent.

I agree, that's why I'm only trading for regular and A&G minis...the subsets are weak in sales value this year...I figure I'll purchase the rest at a steal.
I doubt the code cracking will have any effect on the prices of those card groups. Is anyone here who is building the set and wanting those cards, wanting them JUST to crack the code??? Seems very unlikely to me. Most people are picking up those cards because they're part of the set and they want them for their master sets.
That being said, the values will probably come down a little, but heck, they've already been dirt cheap on ebay almost since the product was released. You can pickup any of them for 1-$2 or less if you shop.
I'm just saying if you search you'll find the occasional one or two that are ending for less than $3 + shipping. I've picked up a couple cheapies this way. Full sets, I have not looked into.

I would disagree here. I think busting this product in bulk can be profitable. I think you have a better shot with a product like this than you do with something like Upper Deck or Sweet Spot, etc. You say these are worthless to the non A&G collector. Thing is, there are a TON of A&G collectors There is a very large base of collectors who collect this product, thus a demand for the sets, singles and such. Of course, there are also a lot of people who break this product, but overall, I have found each and every year that this has been made, that you can make some money off breaking the product in bulk.
I haven't hit anything remarkable this year in my breaks, but have been consistent enough in getting the better selling stuff to keep funding more breaks and making a few dollars as well.
The part I would agree with is that when you miss you miss, but that has to be qualified with consideration to the amount of product you are breaking. If you do a box and get 2 $.99 cent relics, then yes, you missed. But if you open this in bulk, you'll start assembling sets and subsets and quantity of inserts that can be sold off and you'll eventually hit some rip cards, silks, bazookas, etc. that cover the cost of several boxes.

I would disagree here. I think busting this product in bulk can be profitable. I think you have a better shot with a product like this than you do with something like Upper Deck or Sweet Spot, etc. You say these are worthless to the non A&G collector. Thing is, there are a TON of A&G collectors
I haven't hit anything remarkable this year in my breaks, but have been consistent enough in getting the better selling stuff to keep funding more breaks and making a few dollars as well.
The part I would agree with is that when you miss you miss, but that has to be qualified with consideration to the amount of product you are breaking. If you do a box and get 2 $.99 cent relics, then yes, you missed. But if you open this in bulk, you'll start assembling sets and subsets and quantity of inserts that can be sold off and you'll eventually hit some rip cards, silks, bazookas, etc. that cover the cost of several boxes.
