A perfect NGC PF70UCAM Early Releases 4 coin set is selling at Gainesville for............image....just a $330 premium over Mint issue.

This is a collector's series, not a flipper's series no doubt!!! image
  • How did you guys receive the coins so fast? I ordered the 1/10 oz uncirculated a few days ago but it says it won't ship until sometime in august. I had to choose their 1-2 week shipping service, for 4.95 as its all I could afford. In the mint FAQ it says something about it being upgraded (the shipping) if you buy a gold item. Not sure how this works though..

The 1/10ths were gone in 2 days from what I recall.
You need to wait for the next wave.....August 11th at this juncture.
That's why if you want a modern issue, you should buy on day one!!!! image

ps. For $4.95 I had next day service.

I bought 1 each of the proof and Unc 1/4oz.....took the bill over $500 ...time for FedEx.

The Mint has a working relationship with FedEx....$4.95 next day service if over $xxx

edited to add: Under $300 usually goes USPS pony express. image

Also if you have a P.O. box it goes registered which is even slower. image

My Gold Buffalo Proof set came today. I've taken some pictures. The relative scales of my pictures are all the same so you can get an idea of the sizes. But, like usual, they are kind of huge images.

I'll start with the 1/10th ounce piece.

Followed by the 1/4 ounce piece.

Can you see where I am going with this?

    Cool pics, adamlaneus.

The 1/10oz. is fantastic, the 1/4 oz. appears a bit grainy on the devices for some reason.

edited to say: Perhaps the Macro pic is picking up the detail I have never seen before.

    Thanks

Have them all except the One Ouncers in MS and PF. Too much buying that year and my budget was stretched thin.

I wish I could afford more of them back then.
    I did get a 1/10 & 1/4 proof and a 1/2 unc.

Turn back time indeed - perhaps to buy at 6500 on the Dow and to sell two weeks ago...

More to the point, I have some sets still sealed in the Mint box, a bunch of 70s, etc. I backed up the truck on these.

Of course, I sold about 40% of them in the early winter of 2009 at what I thought were nice profits. How I regret that......

I remember the emails from First Coin Source for PCGS MS and PF70FS sets for, I think, the high twos. Passed on them, of course :-(
