A friend over on the Detector Forum dug a Barber dime popout a couple of years back. I was very envious of such a find. There can't be many of them that ended up in the ground!
I think it was coinsarefun who posted the Lincoln before and I've wanted one ever since. I had no idea that the others existed. Are they officially called pop-ups? I was searching for the Lincoln last night under exonumia but didn't come up with anything.
Katherine Jaeger's Guide Book of United States Tokens and Medals has a section on popout coins.
If I remember correctly, all of the photographs from that section came from pieces supplied by Steve Tanenbaum, Steve Hayden, and the American Numismatic Society. If you know the right exonumia dealers, you can find some very nice examples at the bigger coin shows --- and possibly smaller ones, too.

I've always kinda liked those, though.

Here is a pop-up bowl. The figure is Athena.
This gilded silver bowl is about 2,100 years old!!!

Those are all very cool and worth a lot more than folks actually realize simply because of that "coolness" factor!
