Hard to tell from the pics.
Weak strikes are tough, maybe a strong EF or AU but.... for AU there still should be some breast feathers... although Liberty's breasts are well defined on the obverse... that's a tough one to grade.
sorry.
I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!
The coin appears to be mint state but weakly struck, which is common for "S" mint late date walkers.

from the picture the coins looks like it will make a wonderful addition to an AU set but would stick out like a sore thumb in a nice BU set... reguardless of the technical grade...

Based on you Walker reverse , do you think you knoe the series? I am getting grades from VF to MS - that is a very broad range. I think the coin has a lot of luster and should be MS or maybe a slider at worst but clean surfaces - too clean for a AU50 grade much less a VF!
I am hope some series experts will offer opinions

Use smaller pictures to deemphasize the weak strike or light wear or whatever that is...and emphasize the luster. Or maybe flatter lighting? Or sharper lighting? I think that big closeup picture shows all sorts of confusing stuff. Interesting coin for discussion.

<< <i>Sorry if you don't like my opinion but there is too much chatter on the coin for a Mint State grade IMO. And since I noticed your link on the BST board it looks like the eBay bidders feel the same way.
I don't mind your opinion, I am thankful for the opinions offered.

Hey.....their mothers dressed them too...!!!...
in the deepest area of the dies (highest relief of the coin.) The presence of full luster must be used
in these cases to determine if there is any actual wear on the coin.

Concur. The coin IMO is not worth 63 money.
Some of the answers are insane.

You deserve credit as my initial look really focused on the surfaces and that a BB was possible and it never went further until you mentioned it.
Fortunately, I was able to cherry pick a 1918-d without initials about 10 years ago... it is graded AU53 and has similar charcteristics (even though the obverse design was weaker for pre 1923 Walkers)
There are other dates without initials in the series and I never seem to be able to remember them all...
